making space

Many of you may have figured this out, but I'm taking an indefinite break from blogging. I'm a tiny bit apologetic about this decision, but mostly just hopeful and incredibly driven about putting all of my energy and soul into writing music. I'm learning that this involves more sacrifice than I expected, but my drivenness and commitment are unwavering, finally. Now everything I build will be made to support the house where our creativity can thrive. Every decision we make will make the space ready where the music will be born. Shopping and cooking and television and looking at websites -- they don't matter. They amount to absolutley nothing. So, now. We'll make our own personal blend of cushions, candles and time, and drink it in gulps to go deeply into ourselves. There's nothing to be afraid of. There is an unknown need around us for what's been sprouting and flourishing there. This is not pride talking. It is courage, and it is faith.

Stay tuned. We've so much to share...

I agree with Holli's beautiful statement. And I will look forward to hearing the result of your creativity.

I found your blog late last night and posted to an old entry from Sept 2006. But I didn't realize it was from 2006 until this morning and I realize that you probably wouldn't know that I left a comment. Then I read your last entry and I know you may not know for quite awhile that I found you!
But that's ok . . . I am so happy that you are writing music, and now I know why you have been on my mind SO much lately, and now I know how to pray for you. I do hope that all is well for you and Jon, and maybe we can reconnect another time.
I LOVE YOU!

It's me again. I was so happy to find that you left a comment on my blog today:) I really wasn't expecting that you would respond so soon . . . only because I realized that you had taken a break from your blogging.
I would love to get together with you when you and Jon come into town. I am so pleased that you want to squeeze me in. Noah will be 6 on the 16th, but I am available on the dates that you mentioned, so let me know when you prefer and I'll make it work!
